1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
The Eugene C. Figg, Jr. Civil Engineering Scholarship may be presented annually to one undergraduate civil engineering student who will use the scholarship for their junior or senior tuition expenses and fees. Eligible applicant should be currently enrolled in an ABET-accredited program who will be registered as an undergraduate in fall term of the year of award. Selection is based on appraisal of the applicant's award justification, stated interest in bridge design and construction, educational plan, academic performance and standing, development potential, leadership capacity, and financial need. The award amount is in the range of $3,000. Recipient will be eligible to interview for an internship opportunity by the Figg Engineering Group. Previous holders of these scholarships are eligible to apply in any succeeding competition for these awards provided the other requirements of eligibility are satisfied. Complete applications are to be submitted to the ASCE Honors and Awards Program office for receipt by February 10 of the year of award. Due to the impact of COVID-19, applications are being accepted electronically at awards@asce.org.
